時代遅れにならない様にいつも意識してるんだ。ヒット曲の10位までは必ず聞く様にしてきた。
特にテレビ番組をやっていた時は・・ネ。
ヒット曲から流行を知る事は重要だった。
人気ある人達を番組に招いて一緒に歌たんだ。
彼等の曲を知っていれば、合わせやすいし流行に少しでもついていきたかった。
でも・・私はロック歌手にはなれない。ミック・ジャガーやデビット・ボウイにはなれないんだ。
やっぱり違う。でも・・現代的な曲でもバラードなら歌える。
そういう歌えそうだと思う曲を私なりに歌って録音もしてきたよ。

人の曲を私のスタイルで歌ってみたんだ。　

編曲もヘンリー・マンシニーの頃よりは現代的にしたんだ。それでも・・基本は同じかもしれない。
時代と共に少しは変わって来たと思う。


■マンシニーの話について・・・・・歌う様になったいきさつは・・・
あの曲は面白いエピソードがあるんだ。作曲家のマンシニーと作詞家のジョニー・マーサは私の友人なんだ。
偶然2人とあの時この曲の話をきいたんだ。書き上げたばかりだった。
アーチ・ブライヤーのレコード会社と話して歌手は私を推薦したと・・・。
ティファニーで朝食でという映画に使う為だったんだ。
ブライヤーはマンシニーたちを買ってはいたが”幼なじみ”なんて詞のある歌は感心しないと言う。
若者にも受けそうにもないと・・私はあきらめたんだ。

ところが・・・マンシニーの演奏だけのレコードは大ヒットしたんだ。
そして・・・J・バトラーという歌手の歌たものが100万枚のヒット・・。

私は、チャンスを逃したかっこうだったんだ。
ところが・・・・・・なんとこの曲をアカデミー授賞式で歌うことになってね。
世間では受賞候補の一つだった。
そこで・・・私は別のレコード会社（CBSコロンビア）で企画の話が有ったんだ。

ブライヤーとは話てから1年もしないうちに、全米で6000万人が見る、授賞式で私が歌た曲「ムーンリバー？
と名を冠はにしたアルバムを作る事にしたんだ。
早速40万枚を作り店においたよ。絶対受賞すると思ったからなんだ。
結果は見事受賞して翌日レコードは売り切れたんだ。
母が電話してきたよ。「受賞おめでとう」・・と。私自身が受賞したと思っているんだ。
今まで3回あったんだ。

3回とも母は電話してきたんだ。私がカデミ-賞を3回取ったと思っているんだ。
でも・・・・・そう・・信じてるなら・・いいさ・・。

次の曲はジニー・ウエッブが22才の時かきました。今ではスタンダードナンバーです。
大編成のオーケストラと歌手の為の曲です。「嘆きの歌」。

レコード会社を移籍したんだ。CBSコロンビア。そっちで活動を続けたんだ。

この動画、どうしても『琴線触れる』。
アンディによって育てられた気がします・・。
オズモンド・ブラザースはアンディが言っていたように、ショーまですごーーーい練習をしてきて、当日ではいつも完璧にこなしてたとか・・。
それがこのシーン見ていてきっと裏ではすごーーい練習と努力を積み重ねてきたのが見える気がします。それがきっと感動力になっているのでは・・・。お気に入りの動画です。
きっと・・アンディはウイリアムス・ブラザースの頃を重ねあわせているのでは・・・。そんな気がします。演出もうまーーく成長過程を捉え、今ではアンディ抜きにショービジネスを生きている・・・。美しいコーラス・シーン。

以前・・アンディのライブでの「追憶」の動画を捜して、捜してやっとこの動画に巡りあえたました。1974年「追憶」は大好きなアルバム。映画もロード・ショーを観にいきました。リアルタイムで、何度も、何度も聴きノイズだらけに・・。けれど・・2000年代にアマゾンでのCDが出て早速購入。昔のLP価格で2枚組。ノイズの無いのが聞けて世の中のネットの便利さに驚きました。1960年代では考えられなかった事でした。渋谷の輸入レコード屋（主にタワーレコード・HMV）に通い探しし続けた日々が懐かしいです・・。
しかしLPと同じオリジナルCDは見つける事は出来ませんでした。けれどネット検索ではシリーズ・単発で出ていたのを知りましたが・・。ファンの方はきっと国内オリジナルCDお持ちの方がおられる様です・・。私は唯一「ラブストーリー」は輸入盤で入手できました。中古では殆どオークションには出る事はないようですが、これから出回りプレミアが付くかもしれません・・。

今回、多くのファンの方からメール頂きました。懐かしく戦友にあった気も致します。

現実をまだ、まだ受け止めらずにおられるファンも多い気がします。

ネットではアンディのニュースを観ると現実だったんだって。決して見たくないいやな文言「追悼・・・盤」の文字が躍っています・・。きっと・・プレミアも付くのでしょうか・・？

アンディが言っていたように、ファンはきっとずっと、ずっとアンディの歌を愛し、聴き続けるのではないでしょうか・・・。




■国内盤で発売されていたCD・・・・。発売日は不明です。










このCDはどんな種類がでていたのでしょうか・・？

 Singer Andy Williams died at his home in Branson, Mo., on Tuesday after a year-long battle with bladder cancer, according to his publicist Paul Shefrin. He was 84.
Born in Wall Lake, Iowa, Williams launched a solo career in 1952 and had several hit singles, including his Oscar-winning rendition of "Moon River" from the film "Breakfast at Tiffany's."

In 1962, he started the "The Andy Williams Show" on NBC. He opened the Andy Williams Moon River Theater in Branson in 1992.

Williams is survived by his wife, Debbie, and his three children, Robert, Noelle and Christian.

A best-selling singer in the1950s, Williams became a TV star in the '60s with his own weekly show and a series of holiday classics.

Born Dec. 3, 1927, in Wall Lake, Iowa, Williams started his music career at the age of eight as part of the Williams Brothers Quartet, featuring his three brothers: Bob, Dick and Don. The singing group was heard on the radio show, "Iowa's Barn Dance Show," in Des Moines, Iowa, before getting picked up by stations in Chicago and Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1944, the quartet recorded the hit "Swinging on a Star," which led to even more success, as the group began touring the country.

The brothers group disbanded in 1951, prompting Williams to move to New York in hopes of starting a solo career. While there, the Iowa native became a regular on Steve Allen's "Tonight Show." He soon landed a record deal with Candence Records and scored a top 10 hit with "Canadian Sunset." Many 1950s hits followed, including "Butterfly," "Lonely Street" and "The Hawaiian Wedding Song" for which he received the first of his five Grammy nominations.

■DVD「ムーンリバーと私」からアンディの和訳を7アンディの両親、兄弟、クローディヌ、アンディの子供たち、現在の妻、プロディーサー、俳優、その他アンディゆかりの人たちが登場します。アンディの今まで記事でしか知らなかった事、衝撃の事実（クローディーヌの過失事件）など全て詳細にアンディは真摯に語ってくれます。DVDの最後にアンディは語っています。

●Best of the Andy Williams Show（58分）1999発売からの映像。


■2004年9月に初めてアンディのDVDを購入した作品でした。HP開設が2004年3月でした。このHPを訪れたファンから「DVDが出ています。リージョンはOKですので見る事が出来ます」のメール頂き、早速アマゾンで購入した思い出多いDVDです。「May Each Day」フルバージョンが聞けて一番のお気に入りバージョンです。
その後、アマゾンでアンディのDVDが次々と発売、入手し、チャンネル銀河から2009年3月からシーズン1、2010年10月からシーズン２が初放映されハラハラ、どきどきしながら鑑賞していました。今も時々収録したDVDを見ています・・・。



一夜明けて、気持ちが少し落ち着きました。

 
家族に対してアンディ自身が語った言葉.・・・。
「私のために泣かないで。私がこの世を去った時は、私が一生を
かけて愛し続けた素晴らしい音楽を通して私のことを思い出しておくれ。」







アンディ、78年の軌跡。2006年発売DVD。
